Helping injured workers explore all avenues of recovery

| Feb 23, 2018 | Workers' Compensation

A previous post on this blog discussed how many injured workers in Georgia find out after they get hurt on the job that Georgia’s workers’ compensation system, although helpful in so many respects, simply does not cover all of a worker’s losses.

In these sorts of cases, a worker is going to have to look to other places to get the compensation they will no doubt need in order to put his or her life back together financially. For example, they can file a third party liability lawsuit against someone who was at fault, such as a driver responsible for a car accident or even the business that manufactured a defective product.

With over 35 years of experience, injured Georgia workers can count on the attorney at our law office for sound legal advice as to what their options are in the event of a severe work-related injury. Even if workers’ compensation is not going to cover everything, after a severe injury, we can assist with the filing of a claim for workers’ compensation benefits in an effort to get relatively prompt help covering medical bills, lost wages and other expenses.

Once we have helped with getting essential financial support, we can turn our attention to pursuing other ways in which our clients can get compensation for their work injuries. We will conduct a thorough investigation of the incident in order to uncover evidence that other parties may have been negligent and may have contributed to the injury on that account. When we do discover negligence, we may seek to recover additional compensation for our clients.
